Fibromyalgia syndrome is known as a collection of symptoms . Fibromyalgia , an indiscriminate condition that attacks people ,research has shown more women than men . Pain of all descriptions. All things going wrong ,difficulty sleeping , memory not great able to think clearly, certainly not positive . Energy is very low at times as well.
Patients that have been in my clinic who have received a diagnosis of “Fibromyalgia ” tell me often they feel they are on the “Scrap Heap” of life with depression very evident . One thing I believe passionately as a Neuromuscular Injury Therapist Condition is that you don’t lift people up mentally by putting them down verbally “. The past can’t be changed but how the future comes needs to be built well with good foundations . Very often by regular appointments .
I don’t believe Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis, it is a symptom in my view . Very often ,it started with some form of trauma related injury . That is the place to start . I use the full range of diagnostic tests ,eg seeing range of movement / & restricted movement .
I also use a cutting edge piece of equipment, the “Sigma Q dry system ” . The attachment of the “roller” aids to locate the exact point of the trigger point in the body . Trigger points known as “active ” latent ” or “referred” points of pain . Trigger Points /hyperirritable points preventing good blood supply and nerve /motor neuron function . Being able to send frequency into the location aiding a prompt supply of blood, nerve protein “Acetylcholine” to the area in the body aiding wellbeing and pain free movement . Sigma Q aids to activate the body to work simultaneously pain free with patients having quality of life .
The vital importance of a good working knowledge of anatomy, physiology . A good understanding of postural and phasic muscles aids positive clinical results to gain the best use of Sigma Q technology.
Following sigma Q intervention it is good to massage using Orthopedic massage which aids locomotion of the individual patient .
Here is a review of a patient who attended my clinic with a Fibromyalgia diagnosis from the GP.
Having ‘recovered’ from a serious RTA in 1993 I was eventually given a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia for all the pain I was experiencing. No treatment available just learn to live with it. Then I met Steve who gave me hope. So we started treatment and I immediately felt a big change in my body. With help from Louis, Steve has helped me to be pain free. After all these years this is just wonderful. He also treated my husband for his rotator cuff injury which was resolved in one session – amazing. Bless you Steve x
